A Good Weekend

Another good weekend was had this past one. Kendal and I hung out pretty much the whole weekend.

Saturday started with music class. I finally remembered to bring my camera to class for once. Kendal's favorite part of class is when they bring out props to go along with the music.

After music class we had a quick lunch at "Old McDonald's", and headed out to the Minnesota Zoo. We have a membership for there, which is very handy. This weekend they had their annual Tropical Beach Party. They put in a huge sandbox, and Kendal had a blast playing in that. She just sat and played with her bucket and shovel, and then joined in with some big kids making a huge sand mountain.

Then on to making some sand art. She loves doing crafts.

After that she had her hair made "crazy". This was interesting as there were two people doing this, one an adult and another who must have been her around 15-year-old daughter. We unfortunately got the daughter. Kendal didn't care, but she held the can of paint one inch from Kendal's hair, and then dumps a pile of sprinkles right on top of her head. Like I said, Kendal still thought it was cool, but I told that little whippersnapper to be more careful next time.

After looking at the rest of the zoo, the last thing we did was go outside to look at Russia's Grizzly Coast. Kendal thought this was pretty cool and took a neat pic next to the leopard.

Then on Sunday after Sunday School, Kendal went to her friend Emily's 5th birthday party. Emily is her best friend at daycare. It was at a hotel's pool, so that was a different way to spend a day. Kendal loves to swim, and I think in a couple weeks we'll even get her signed up for some lessons.

Then that night I took the kids over to my mom and dad's house for a little home cooked meal. Steve and Alice were there, too, so it was nice to see them before they leave for China later this month. Our thoughts and prayers are with them!
